H. Asep Abudin was born in Bogor on May 12, 1962. He is a souvenir shop entrepreneur and the son of H. Oib and H. Aminah. His father, a farmer, hailed from Gunung Wangun, Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java. His mother, from Ciawi, Bogor, West Java, was a homemaker.

H. Asep Abudin is one of six siblings. His first business selling groceries had to close due to the crisis in 1999. Despite only completing primary education, his determination to succeed never wavered. Coming from a non-wealthy family, H. Asep Abudin has proven that anyone can achieve the success many aspire to.

H. Asep Abudin has a wife, H. Neneng Kureasin, who has always stood by him through thick and thin. They have been blessed with three sons: H. Saeful Ramdani Andalis, H. Ahmad Mustari, and H. Andri Mubarok.
